Broadway
Since me, Mazzy, Anuj, Richard and Desiree are heading on down to NY (as well as Boston and DC) for Easter tomorrow night, we are wondering what is the best way to get cheap tickets to Broadway! We would prefer to see one of the classics (eg Phantom), at some stage on Saturday. Helpful comments will receive a blog post title dedicated to them :)

www.tkts.com - they have booths to buy tickets for the day-of, half-off. But because it's a holiday weekend, it's highly likely the popular shows will be sold out.
I would check out off-broadways, and off-off broadways. Even Juilliard's drama department for affordable yet very good performances.

Seconded.

Some shows you can just walk up to the box office 20minutes before show time. I saw Chicago on Broadway for $11. I did have to stand through the whole show, but it was worth it.

mel's right, things are likely to be sold out, but
use the tkts booth at south st seaport. it's a bit more of a schlep, but you're more likely to get tickets there since the touristy types stick by times sq.
also, rent does a $20 ticket raffle 2.5 hours before each show.
have fun!
