Martial Arts Teacher in China?
Hey Everyone! A friend of mine is going to China and wanted to see if anyone on nomadlife could recommend a good martial arts teacher. He's a serious practioner and will be in China for a month. He'd really appreciate any help a nomad could offer. If you know of anyone, please comment and I'll get in touch!

If you are looking to study kung fu, or wushu in particular, I know some friends who could make some good suggestions.

I could attempt to teach him, but then it would take more than a month, nay it would take a life time.
Some things just can't be imparted.

You can suggest your friend to go sign up for classes at Shaolingsi in Henan. Shaolingsi is probably the most famous place to learn wushu in China. Good luck!

well, I am not sure whether they offer class for non-monk now in Shaolinsi cuz it is supposed to be only for monks in the temple there...Anyway, another suggestion will be go to Foshan which is in the canton province, it is called the Hometown of Kongfu (the southern branch of course) and btw my hometown as well!

if he wants to learn the drunken master style kung fu, what he needs to do go to every different bars every night, got wasted and start a fight.

Yea, shaolinsi offers classes to non-monks. Not sure about the programs, class schedules, etc. though.
