It's Democracy in Action!
Unlike the US when Bush won a thin 2004 51% of the popular vote (with just 34 more electoral and 3 million more votes than Kerry), Colombians strongly re-elected Alvaro Uribe and are proud to let him lead them to 4 more years of progress. He even LAWFULLY amended the constitution to be able to seek a 2nd term of office which was not permitted before. Let's hope Bush doesnt grace the US constitution with his oil rich pen.
Most of the time you only hear of socio-politically plagued countries with corrupt and dangerous dictator's and governments (Cuba, Chile, Peru, Brazil, etc.) reaching a landslide election result. Now Uribe can try to further reform and improve my great homeland with the support of the people.
PS: When did the US "WAR ON DRUGS" of the 80's become Colombia's "Battle against narco-terrorism"????
