Pluto no longer a planet :o(
The International Astronomical Union (IAU) during its international conference in Prague has agreed that Pluto shall be no longer a planet of the solar system. From now on, Pluto will be part of other cosmic objects such as asteroids. For years there have been discussions whether Pluto is a planet. The discussions became fiercer after a new object, UB313, had been discovered (with unofficial name Xena). Xena although farther from the sun is larger and heavier than Pluto.
The possibility also was to enlarge the current number of 9 planets to 12. If that would happen, new classification was to be created, when the new 3 planets together with Pluto were to be part of the midget planets group. The 3 new planets would have been Charon - the moon of Pluto, Ceres and Xena.

in other news... during a international conference of the FAG (Film Actors Guild), Tom Cruise has been excluded from further benefits of being in a FAG as his career in the film industry, under heated debates, has caused him to be excluded from the title 'actor'. New classification for his career pending
