Blogging Ramadan - calling all nomads....
Ramadan is coming, and I would really love to get a group blog going among nomads all around the world experiencing Ramadan - Muslim or non-Muslim, in Cairo, Rabat, New York, Singapore or wherever, local or expat - I think a well done group blog of Ramadan experiences would be wonderful.
I would really enjoy seeing postings, pictures, interviews etc from all over the place, showing off all the great things about Ramadan - the local/family traditions, special "only in Ramadan" food and drink, the lights and decoration, the effect it has on your city and country....You get the picture right?
I think at this time and place in history something like this would be a pretty cool thing to do, and with some promotion to "outside", I think we could get a fair bity of interest and attention. Who's in? Write me a mail, tom.gara(at)gmail.com or leave a note in comments and I'll follow up.....I hope we can get some nomad representation from all corners of the world!
(going to leave this bumped at the top for a day)

Ramadan is a new experience for me but I've been involved with tutoring some Somalian kids here in Perth, Australia - so I can blog about that. I'm mentor to some US students also involved in the tutoring and it's really interesting seeing their attitudes change and develop.
