John and Jane Doe
After watching a little too much CSI i decided to wikipedia John Doe and Jane Doe to understand more why that's the name of every corpse.
I found this cool thing - John/Jane Doe's in each language
In Arabic it's Fulan - or Fulan al Fulani as a full name.
The cool thing is that in all spanish languages it's also Fulan(o) - Victory for the Arabic Language!
Other favorites are Joe Bloggs, John Citizen (Australia, NZ) , Marko Markovic, Petar Petrovic (Bosnia) Pierre-Paul-Jacques (France) Hans/Max/Otto (Germany) Mario Rossi (Italy)
I found them funny coz when you think of a person from that country that's the name that pops up in your mind.
At Ericsson we refer to employees in case studies as "Eric Ericsson" or "Erica Ericsson"
I don't know why i am finding this really interesting

Interesting. Very Interesting.
The Fulani are a nation state from Northern Nigeria and who extend into Chad, Niger and Benin Republic.
Before the British re-drew the lines, the Fulani were a prosperous, warrior type of people who dominated trade in the sub-sahara pre colonial Africa (West).
Very very interesting

The muslims from Al-Andalus (the region of Spain today called Andaluca) invaded nearly all nowadays spanish terrotitories back in the 10th and 11th century. As a result, spanish is a language rich in arabic-originated words. Fulan(o) is just another example. Other examples would be:
spanish/arabic/english
almacn/al majzan/store
aceituna/al zeitoun/olive
And so on...
