Okay I know I am splitting hairs but...
Egypt did not DOMINATE the All-Africa Games. They TOPPED the medals table but did not DOMINATE!
DOMINANCE would have meant South Africa came a DISTANT second! And their medals came from a wide range of events (which it did) but so did SOuth Africa's Algeria and Nigeria.
Okay Okay... maybe I am a little sore that we didnt do better than 4th position! "We" being the Nigerian contingent!
Nigeria DID DOMINATE the Athletics though! Especially the sprints ;-)

Tom, i guess Egypt continues to dominate the African games. Of the 9 tournaments Egypt won 5 times, came in 2nd twice, 3rd once and withdrew from the 1978 tournament for being attacked by libyan holigans.
That said i guess we failed miserably in translating the continental dominance to international results.
