China to regulate reincarnation
"Tibet?s living Buddhas have been banned from reincarnation without permission from China?s atheist leaders. The 14-part regulation issued by the State Administration for Religious Affairs is aimed at limiting the influence of Tibet?s exiled god-king, the Dalai Lama, and at preventing the re-incarnation of the 72-year-old monk without approval from Beijing." -Timesonline

This is funny:
Assuming that there is reincarnation, then the person who is the reincarnation of buddha would be there anyway, no government would have a say in who that person is.
The only thing they can prevent is that this person gets recognized officially in a ceremony they attend...
So why when you don't believe in that religion would you care? It's all about power...
