Roma!
hello nomads!
i'm planning a week-long trip to rome in march for my 25th birthday. plane tickets are booked -- i get there on a friday and leave the next friday -- but i don't have much else done right now.
would love to hear from anyone who's there (can we do a nomadlife mini-meetup?), or who's been there of late, on
-- good places to stay (safe, since i'll be on my own; relatively inexpensive; centrally located). i wouldn't mind doing either hostels or rental apartments for the week, as long as i don't end up paying an arm and a leg for the latter.
-- where to eat (the locals' recommendations!)
-- what to do (i've ordered guidebooks online, but again, would love to hear tips and tricks from those in the know)
-- the weather in mid-march. rain? cold? sunny?
also, should i take off to florence for a day or two? or would i be better advised to stay in rome for the whole time? i'm happy to just take things easy, but i also don't want to under-do it!
any and all wisdom on this or other topics gratefully received! thanks! :-)
