it is odd that the same group that would be giving unity messages for so long would choose to resign without a fight...

in five year's time people will wonder how it took so long for this to happen.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the most public and transparent institutional event in recent AIESEC history.
It's good and bad because now the current and incoming leadership will have to do all of these hard works and transition under the harsh spotlight of public opinion.
Just please pay attention to the fog of war, where a lot of information will be coming out in the coming days (accurate or inaccurate) that one will have shift through and digest.
But overall, change is here - it will be like riding at the back of a tiger. Be cool, stay safe and good luck. Let us know if you need any help.

As we all know change can be both good and bad, depending on how it is managed and controlled.
Is it needed for AIESEC US? I am a strong believer that it is!!
Is this the right way to approach it? We might never know, but the most important thing is for someone to take leadership of it and control it.
I am sure that a new group of leaders will rise to the occasion, even though their job will be hard and as Dody said, they will be in the public spotlight; I can only hope that they use the opportunity to tackle the needed structural changes.
Best of success in this new part of AIESEC US history.

in other unrelated news, residents of Rotterdam are reporting ululations and celebratory gunfire being heard in the vicinity of Teilingerstraat...

power lying in the streets, anyone could pick it up.

The fundamental problem perhaps was not the individuals on the national team, but the way the board was running them..will that change...?

emad,
maybe you can clarify (or if someone feels they know well), how much power does the board hold over the MC? Is it complete power?

It can be dangerous to make bold statements with incomplete or outdated information.

Hi Sara,
I think it is safe to assume that whoever that post on this thread doesn't know jack shit about the whole situation (including me) or at most only posses fragments of information.
Those who know most can't speak about this situation, either by fiduciary duties or simply because of entanglements - or other considerations.
