Thumbs up, down? And why?

So, inquiring minds want to know: "When is the next Rowdy Reunion?"
My friends, the answer is here...almost. JUNE!
We (the locals) have identified the weekends of June 3-5 and June 10-12 as good dates. The first weekend is Riversplash!, a local festival. Which might be good if we need the diversion, but a pain in the ass if we want to get out and do anything downtown (getting around will suck).
We need to know from you, which of the two is best for your schedules?
Speak now, or forever hold your liquor.
This is my first post on nomadlife, so I just want to say hello and introduce myself. I'm Adelle, an AIESEC Alum from Georgia Tech currently on an 8 month traineeship with MindValley. I wanted to tap into my network of AIESECers to let you know about an amazing opportunity to work in Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur. Please read below.
MindValley Labs, a Internet Company based in Silicon Valley and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is looking for up to 3 trainees to fill various positions immediately and over the summer/fall semesters. We've been interviewing locals here in Malaysia, but we prefer to bring more AIESECers on board.
I've been on my traineeship for 2 months now, you can read about my experiences living and working abroad in KL at http://adelle.nomadlife.org/

Accounting Exec/Customer Service
PS - Our company is founded by former AIESEC members who have worked for large Silicon Valley firms like eBay and Microsoft. We're small business, but growing very rapidly and really need to fill available positions, preferably with AIESEC trainees. TN's start as soon as possible, and we match fairly quickly. But if you're really interested for a later date, just apply and we'll save your resume for a later review.
If you have any questions, you can email me at mailto:adelle@mindvalley.com

The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the earthquake, measuring 8.5 on the Richter scale, struck at 1609 GMT off the coast of Sumatra and was an aftershock of the December 26 quake." (Times Online)
Here is the USGS report of the earthquake.

The things that were important to us were: being open, building innovative stuff and kicking ass. Were these people OUR people? Yes. See the stuff Yahoo's announced recently (including, of course, this)? They're evolving in really interesting ways -- and from our look inside, we know know that there's a lot more coming.I think this is a great buy for Yahoo, and a real pity that google didnt snap it up - for purely selfish reasons, I would have loved to have seen five of my favourite web services - Google, Google News, Blogger, Gmail and Flickr all intergrated under the same platform. The first four are all already Google owned - pity about the fifth (which is possibly the best of the five).
It's ST. PATRICK'S DAY, national day of celebrating Ireland, everything Irish and everything green...so go put on something green, try locate an Irish buddy and find your nearest Irish pub for a pint of green beer!!
What's going on...or not going on, in your neck of the woods for St. Patrick's Day? Where's the best place to be if you're not in Ireland?
All's fairly quiet in Bratislava, the Irish population of approximately 22 isn't quite enough for singing and dancing in the streets...but we'll be trying that out later!
Paddy's Day Dublin style...
I'd love to see photos from Paddy's Day across the globe, so get snapping if there's stuff going on near you!
Tim Bray has written a post about blogging and work.
Assumptions: Let's assume that you're reasonably competent, reasonably coherent, and reasonably mature. Cynicism aside, a substantial majority of the people in the workplace qualify.
Blogging clearly isn't going to help that proportion of people who aren't really up to their job, or who are prone to inarticulate flaming, or both. But then, those people tend to have career problems anyhow. Put it another way: not blogging won't protect you from career-limiting moves, and if blogging provokes one, well, you were probably going to do it anyhow.
Ten Reasons Why Blogging is Good For Your Career

"There is a story being told in the world around us. It tells us to fear the foreign and the unknown. It says that only few can survive, and to survive we must fight. It says that some are better than the whole and that we must divide and isolate. It threatens that we are endangered an alone."Arthur is blogging...
