I think it is a cool layout. I like it.

Nice. Couple of small points:

Can the pictures feed go above the nomadlife links box? I think the picture feed is one of the coolest things we have going right now, and we should give it maximum glory time and eyeball reach.

The box in the top left corner showing the date and time - its a bit big, for something so relatively unimportant (unless lots of us are hitting nomadlife to find the date or the US time).

And can we liven up the colour scheme just a little? Think vitality, life, wonderous diversity of earth.....Maybe a splash of green or blue or red somewhere. It feels like the desert, which goes with the whole camel/nomadic bedouin caravan thing, but I dont think it really matches what nomadlife is all about.

One idea - maybe a little oasis in the desert somewhere? A spring pool and a few lush green date palms would be wonderful.

I must admit I agree with Tom on livening up the colour scheme...

VIBRANT... YOUTHFUL....

Eyecatching...

So yeah brighter, but otherwise good stuff.

and I think it's probably a good idea to move away from a "box design".
