myaiesec.net is up and running

nomadlife2myaiesec.net is looking cool, although I can't see any actual myaiesec.net blogs running yet. The blogroll is 100% nomadlife :)

And what is the deal with the bizarre "Thank You Song" that is permanently linked from the front page? AIESEC can be a "basket of different coloured fruits" sometimes, and I think the Thank You Song is a great example.

It will be interesting to see how this system is rolled out - one of nomadlife's biggest weaknesses right now is the lack of geographic and cultural diversity, and with a the proper pushing and communication, this system could see a whole load of AIESEC bloggers popping up in the 91 corners of the world where AIESEC is found. Hopefully on AI next year I can play some role in seeing this system executed properly.

I'm excited that AIESEC has begun to utilize blogging technology, but please don't forget that nomadlife is an independent ecosystem, embracing a much larger community than in AIESEC. nomadlife is privately run, independant of AIESEC; myaiesec.net is not nomadlife 2.

While myaiesec.net is clearly inspired by nomadlife, these two communities have different objectives, audiences and drivers.

I'm positive that myaiesec.net has the potential to be successful without the need to associate itself with nomadlife.

Dudes,
we're just trialing the site, and messing about with different options. Nothing launched yet. Digs, no-one will forget that nomadlife is an "independent ecosystem" ;)
